Jetting drain tips

When jetting and you’re tip is not going any further
make a loop in the hose and turn back and forth.
this will make it turn the corner or get past a lip.

If your working in a building with the drain backed
up. Push the Jetter hose to the clog then tap pedal
(turns on Jetter) to break clog. This means very little
extra water in drain This way the pipe is’nt overflowing
water into the space your working.

When jetting always go forward 2 feet then pull back 2 feet,
then repeat. This insures it never gets stuck.

When doing Restaurants floor drains. Which always have P traps,
where you have to use 3/16 inch hose because any bigger wont
go threw, Bring sink adapter so you can make sure water is hot
The heat will make up for the lack of diameter which means less water..

Buy a Endoscope camera. (small camera for small drains) Along with
your regular sewer camera. To aid in cleaning drains

Your setup: The muscle You can certainly get bigger, But I recommend
a 3500 to 4000 psi 10 gallon a minute Jetting machine. This will get
any clog you come across up to 8 inch pipe. When there is a clean out, use
a 3/8 hose. When in house or business Run main 3/8 out and add
quarter inch reel with pedal. ( 3/8 get stuck to easy on the sharp
corners you encounter when jetting in houses.

The versatile: Always have a rolling Jetter. This will get you in
any situation you get in. I use a 18 hpr 5.5 gallon per minute
set up. Another advantage to this size is you dont need a tank
you can run off peoples hose. Any bigger and you would have
to have tank.
Small drains: Your going to get customers that want you to
clear drains that are less then 3 inches. So you will need some
kind of electric Jetter.

Some jobs you will have to get on roof and go down drain vents
So you will need a ladder.

Have a lot of sink/hose adapters and Jetting Nozzles…
